Great article find Julie.
It's sad so many a-pars though are just so intent on the child bonding to them - they don't give a stuff about how that is actually effecting the child. (or the b-mum)
It's so very very sad.
Hey?
Poss. xx
Possum, what people don't understand is that, according to the scientific literature, human babies can bond with only one person: their mother - and that all other relationships are attachments. So, to deny the bond between the infant and mother is to deny the child of ANY bond. The aparents who want to catch the baby as it comes out of the womb need to learn that that will not help but only hurt their relationship with the child. There really should be a law that requires (whenever possible) that the infant and mother stay together for at LEAST, say, 8 weeks if not longer to avoid a lot of the things that this article mentions. This doesn't just happen with kittens!!!
