My kids and I went to see this movie and just like the Robinsons I was taken by suprise by the adoption theme.
One of the first things in the movie is a rich guy goes to a place where a foster kid was practicing his ice skating and he watches him for a min and then says "I'll take him" that is the begining.
He adopts kids out of foster care to make money off of them by turning them into sports stars. When at 26 he gets kicked out of skating he pulls to the side of the road and throws him and his suitcases out and says something like "its been fun, but..."
There was a bunch of other lines I was trying to remember but cant. It was some pretty typical lines in adoption. The good news was that it showed the buying of children aspect, I think even at one point he said something like "when I bought you"
