My cat's name was Isabel.  She was the best cat ever.  I adopted her from the Humane Society When I was in my mid twenties.  She had been there for six weeks because her **** former owners brought her in pregnant (WTF! Right?).  They euthanized her kittens after she had them.  Tongue
Anyway, she was the best cat ever she was almost human like (and yet, I never called her my furbaby, ewww!).  I took her "adoption" very seriously and treated her like a queen.  I treated her the way I wish my aparents had treated me.
I would actually say that to my husband, "And she's just a cat!  I was a person!  I treat my cat better than they treated me. "
Boo hoo, I know, but it's true. I took my responsibilities  to my cat better than my stupid aparents ever took them for me.
So my cat died about two years ago.  We all still miss her especially my older son.

I guess I use her name to keep her memory alive AND to remain somewhat anonymous.

What?

You all think I'm a freak now, don't you?

Not at all. My bestest cat ever also died about two years ago. I had her for 18 years and loved her soooooo much. I know I'll have cats the rest of my life and while I'll love each and every one of them - no cat in the world could compare to her in my eyes. She had the most wonderful personality ever - my dear sweet little Dazzlecat.

Hocca was one of my nick names growing up. In the past I have always posted under my own name Christin but this time I chose to be a nony mous.
My avatar reminded me of a beautiful angel statue which overlooks my mothers grave. That I found a grave and not my mother is a grief  that I will carry with me forever.

I do the same, Issy, with all my cats.  I let them be cats (I don't expect anything else) and treat them with the utmost respect.  I wish I had been treated half as well.

Littlebit was the name of my daughter's pony.  It has been my screen name on most adoption sites so I stick to it so people know it is me.   Cheesy
